About
Kenneth Chang is a student cellist residing in the Greater Chicagoland Area in Illinois. Picking up the cello at age five at the Community School of the Arts in Wheaton College, years later he became fascinated with the instrument and its functionality and connection to classical music and later pursued into the world of music performance. He currently is a cellist in Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra's Youth Symphony Ensemble. He currently studies with Tanya L. Carey.
Kenny has also achieved notable musical achievements including winning first prize in Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra's 2022-23 Philharmonia Young Artists Concerto Competition alongside performing with EYSO's 2022-23 Philharmonia Chamber Orchestra to play Saint-Saƫns Allegro Appassionato (op. 43), receiving third prize in the Granquist Music Competition, attending ILMEA District 9 Festivals since 2021, and received assistant principal chair in Illinois Music Educators Conference 2024, Honors Orchestra.
Residing in the Greater Chicagoland Area of Illinois, Kenny enjoys also programming/developing games on the ROBLOX platform, and transportation filming. He attends St. Charles East High School.
